Adult Learners: Data and Information Slides

2012 in Review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 3 years to get that many views.

“Pawsitivity” Focus Groups for all PSLV Faculty/Staff

The Campus Climate and Organizational Culture Committee has organized a series of focus group conversations, called Pawsitivity Groups, regarding this year’s theme Building Trust, Honoring Tradition and Creating Opportunities Together. It is the committee’s hope that every faculty and staff member of PSLV will participate in one of these group conversations to share his/her perceptions of the current organizational
culture and to offer ideas for strengthening the PSLV community for all faculty and staff. Feedback from the groups will be used to develop new programming and resources for the PSLV campus.

Upcoming groups include:

October 15, 2012, 1pm, Room 135 (Tiffany Cresswell-Yeager and Aaida Costagliola)

October 18, 2012, 12;15pm, Room 307 (Alexandria Kile, Denise Ogden, Kristy Weidner Hove)

October 26, 2012, 10:00am, Room 220 (Stephanie Friday and Mike Damweber)

Adjunct Faculty Survey is now open!

The Campus Climate and Organizational Culture Committee invites all part-time faculty members of Penn State Lehigh Valley to participate in the 2012 Adjunct Faculty Survey. This survey is a follow-up to the Faculty and Staff Climate Survey, which was administered in January 2012.

This survey is only open to adjunct faculty members and aims to collect information related to levels of satisfaction and inclusion, access to professional development and campus resources, communication channels, and adjunct faculty goals. Participation of adjuncts is extremely important in helping the committee gauge the feelings and interests of adjunct faculty. Survey data will be used by the Campus Climate Committee to aid in program planning and new resources for adjunct faculty members.

All part-time faculty are encouraged to check their Penn State email account for the survey link (via the part-time faculty list-serv). Questions about the survey can be directed to
