Computer and Internet Usage in PA and US

The PA State Data Center has shared the following research brief: Computer Usage in Pennsylvania and the United States

Highlights include:

-The number of households living in PA with Internet access has risen by 12% from 2007 to 2011 (U.S. Census Bureau)

-74.5% of PA residents in 2011 had Internet access (76.5% of U.S. residents had Internet access)

-The Northeast region of the U.S. has the highest percentage of residents with Internet access.

-76.2% of non- Hispanic White households and 82.7% of Asian households reported Internet use at home. This is in comparison to 58.3% of Hispanic households and 56.9% of Black households.
